STORE OPENING

WOW...it's official.  We have had the store open for one week and things are going great.  The people are very receptive and love the way Kate has designed the store.  Her look is interesting and people always comment on how cute it is.   Now, we just have to keep adding new things....its always the THRILL OF THE HUNT for us...  I have enjoyed reading all of the blogs from our new friends that we have met at The Prairie.  So many creative friends...I am overwhelmed on how talented these ladies are.  I hope we can gather again soon to sit and share our ideas.....thanks to all that are following our blog and hope to get a website up soon...

Blessing from FBG..

The Prairie Bloggers Lunch!

I don't even know where to begin....
Starting out the day, I don't think we could contain our excitement.Upon arriving at The Prairie with the other 32 bloggers, excluding myself, my mom, and my aunt, KK, who owns The Lazy T B&B here in Fredericksburg, we sat down and had an AMAZING lunch including THE FAMOUS pie, from Bud at Royer's Cafe.
Finally, we got to spend time listening to Rachel Ashwell speak about her creative outlook and what brought her to Round Top,Texas of all places. We then got to tour the main house, and I had never seen such simplistic and beautiful decor in my life. It was absolutely fantastic.

On the left, was the interior of the main house, which was to die for, and on the right, is a little look into her new store, which is located on The Prairie property. It was absolutely amazing. I just moved back from Los Angeles this summer, and had been to her Santa Monica store and loved it. Getting a chance to talk with Rachel, she gave me a lot of great feedback, and was so inspiring with how she has become the creator and driving force behind what she loves and inspires people like us to do. Once again Rachel, I want to thank you for opening up The Prairie to us, and letting us into your life for the short time we all spent together. All of us bloggers will never forget our time at The Prairie.

OH, and nobody can forget Pearl!
