California on my mind

WOW. Haven't update this in forever. WELL. the Jaxon Ivy store front officially closed in 2012 due to some opportunities that lead me to Nashville! My time there was fantastic and then my parents bought a store called The Attic in Fredericksburg. They have owned it for a little over a year and LOVE IT! They are doing amazing and have a HUGE customer following. In January of this year, I moved back to Los Angeles and I have been continuing the Jaxon Ivy store! As I write this, I'm actually set up at the Melrose Fairfax trading post. Hope to continue this brand and keep growing it.

P.S. I promise to keep up with this more. PROMISE

The end of 2011

Well, Christmas went by faster than i could even say "Christmas". I think it just might have been the fastest holiday season that I have ever experienced. We are going to be taking down all of the Christmas decorations in the house, and it really bums me out. :( I LOVE THE HOLIDAY SEASON! Here is a little insight into our Christmas decorations for 2011.

Can it be Christmas ALL YEAR LONG?!

STORE OPENING

WOW...it's official.  We have had the store open for one week and things are going great.  The people are very receptive and love the way Kate has designed the store.  Her look is interesting and people always comment on how cute it is.   Now, we just have to keep adding new things....its always the THRILL OF THE HUNT for us...  I have enjoyed reading all of the blogs from our new friends that we have met at The Prairie.  So many creative friends...I am overwhelmed on how talented these ladies are.  I hope we can gather again soon to sit and share our ideas.....thanks to all that are following our blog and hope to get a website up soon...

The Prairie Bloggers Lunch!

I don't even know where to begin....
Starting out the day, I don't think we could contain our excitement.Upon arriving at The Prairie with the other 32 bloggers, excluding myself, my mom, and my aunt, KK, who owns The Lazy T B&B here in Fredericksburg, we sat down and had an AMAZING lunch including THE FAMOUS pie, from Bud at Royer's Cafe.
Finally, we got to spend time listening to Rachel Ashwell speak about her creative outlook and what brought her to Round Top,Texas of all places. We then got to tour the main house, and I had never seen such simplistic and beautiful decor in my life. It was absolutely fantastic.

On the left, was the interior of the main house, which was to die for, and on the right, is a little look into her new store, which is located on The Prairie property. It was absolutely amazing. I just moved back from Los Angeles this summer, and had been to her Santa Monica store and loved it. Getting a chance to talk with Rachel, she gave me a lot of great feedback, and was so inspiring with how she has become the creator and driving force behind what she loves and inspires people like us to do. Once again Rachel, I want to thank you for opening up The Prairie to us, and letting us into your life for the short time we all spent together. All of us bloggers will never forget our time at The Prairie.

OH, and nobody can forget Pearl!

We are joining the world of blogging!

Well, my sister, KK, has gotten me all wrapped up in the blogging world.  She promises it will be addicting and I think she is right! We have big adventures planned for the end of September.  We are headed to Round Top, Warrenton, and Marburger.  We have a bloggers  luncheon to attend at The Prairie, a fabulous B & B owned by Rachel Ashwell.  She will  be there too!!   EXCITING!!!  On Tuesday evening, we have reservations at Royer's Cafe.  Bud, The Pie Man, will have  wonderful food prepared I am sure.  (There goes the diet).  We are there to do some shopping also.  Looks like it will be so much fun.  One of the greatest things is that my daughter, Kate, will be with us.  She just graduated from Fashion Design school in LA, California.  She is opening a wonderful store in Fredericksburg on October 1.   It is called...JAXON IVY - a repurpose lifestyle store..... Her "eye for design" is spectacular, so she is so fun to shop with.  Hope she can keep up with KK and myself....We will keep you posted on our adventure followed by lots of pictures.

BELIEVE in your DREAMS!
